Wayne E. Howey Sr.

Wayne E Howey Sr., 73, of Knoxville passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side.

He worked at Kroger for over 50 years. Wayne was the hardest working man and was loved by all who knew him.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Alice Howey; sisters, Beverly and Donna; brothers, Keith, Lloyd, Larry, Dale; grandchildren, Chanda and Little Ricky.

Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Brenda Howey; daughters, Lisa Kay and Bobby Miller, Theresa Lynn and Bobby Everett, Tracey Jane and Mikey Bailey, Lori Lynn  Sherrod, Brandi Marie and Nathan Gilliam; sons, Terry Wayne and Rhonda Howey, Kerry Eugene and Bev Howey, Kevin Gene and Missie Howey, Wayne Eugene Jr and Khristina Howey; brother, Bobby and Brenda Howey of Muncey, Indiana; 16 grandchildren, Ashley, Rusty, Justin, Brooke, Kelsey, Kara, Greg, Casey, Jade, Peyton, Savannah, Brianna, Emily, Connor, Zane, and Liam; 12 great grandchildren, Bryson, Baylee, Nia, Dawson, Colton, Addisyn, Harrison, Aubreigh, Elijah, Graycen, Eston, Olivia Grace; sister in-law, Sheri and John Turner and their son Jake.

The family would like to give a special thanks to the Amedisys Hospice Team, especially Christy Craft, Angie Jones, and Clay Mulford, they truly appreciate all the love and support they have been given.

The family will have a private celebration of life at a later time. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Wayne’s memory to St. Jude Hospital.

  1. We all love and miss you very much papaw. You was a wonderful man and would do anything for anyone. You was always there for everyone that needed you. It was hard seeing you go but i know you are at peace and that you are no longer hurting. I love you and miss you dearly papaw…
