Richard Dennis Marter, 64, of Knoxville, passed away Saturday December 24, 2022.

Rick was proud to have served in the United States Army.

Preceded in death by parents, Jack and Lounez Marter; brother, James Manley.

Survived by wife, Darlene Wilhite; children, Richard “Luke” Marter (Rhonda), John “Casey” Marter, Tommy Wilhite, Thomas Wilhite; grandson, Brandon Marter; granddaughters, Bayleigh and Alyssa Martin; sisters, Deborah Parker-Pratt (Raymond), Patricia Lou Sutherland (Dennis); brother, John Murray (Judy); sister in-law, Rebecca Dance; and mother of his children, Lisa Marter (John).  

Services will be held January 27, 2023 12:30pm at East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery Chapel 2200 E. Governor John Sevier Hwy.
