Edward Charles Schwab, 78, formally of Arden, NC, passed away at his home in Corryton, TN on May 17, 2022.
Ed served in the US Air Force Reserves during Viet Nam where he was an airplane mechanic. For 40 plus years he was the owner/operator of Schwab Construction. He was part of the Lions Club for many years as well as a volunteer at the VA Hospital in Asheville, NC. Ed was also part of the Hendersonville, NC Antique Car Club.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ellen and Walter Schwab.
Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Susan Bellamy Schwab; daughters, Margaret (James) Bentley of Luttrell, TN and Suzanne (Trey) Emmons of Norfolk, VA; grandchildren, Emily Foster Bentley, Lauren Frazier Bentley, Ellen Rosemary Emmons and Virginia Ann Emmons; brothers, Hank Schwab and Jim (Buff) Schwab; and 2 nieces and 2 nephews.
A Memorial Service is to be determined. Condolences may be sent to 120 Monday Road, Corryton, TN 37721. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your local Veteran Association in Ed’s name.
