Cindy Widener McNutt

Cindy Widener McNutt, age 68, passed away on December 29, 2018 at the home of her son and surrounded by love. After graduating from Fulton High School, she perused her desire to become a Psychiatric Registered Nurse and graduated from Fort Sanders Presbyterian Hospital School of Nursing as President of her graduating class.  Cindy had a passion for cooking and baking and loved to share her dishes with everyone. 

Cindy is preceded in death by her parents, Gilford and Carolyn Widener.  She is survived by son, JP McNutt and wife, Amanda; granddaughter Kendall McNutt; brothers, Steve Widener and wife, Janice, Kenny Widener and wife, Terry, Chip Widener and wife, Hilda; cousin and sister at heart, Sheila Rumoro; along with several nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends from 3:00-5:00PM on January 5, 2019 at The Church at Sterchi Hills, 904 Dry Gap Pike, Knoxville, TN 37918 with a Celebration of Life to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be sent in her name to the East Tennessee Kidney Foundation.  Contributions can be made onlinewww.etkidney.org/donate or via mail ETKF, P.O.Box 22072, Knoxville, TN 37933.

  1. I Thank God for a Forever Loving Friendship with Cindy & her family. I grew up with Cindy & was privileged to take Cindy to Fulton High School 50 yr reunion in 2018.
